Abstract. Probability theory is a fundamental branch of mathematics used to describe and analyze uncertain events. This article presents practical methods for solving elementary and intermediate probability problems in mathematics. The discussion covers sample spaces, events, classical probability, addition and multiplication rules, complementary probability, conditional probability, independent events, combinatorial methods, and repeated trials. Particular attention is given to choosing the correct method, organizing known information, and avoiding common errors. A set of step-by-step worked examples demonstrates how probability models can be applied to coins, dice, cards, selections, and everyday situations.
