Abstract

This article explores the economic efficiency of Agentic Artificial Intelligence (Agentic AI), the next paradigm shift in AI development. Drawing on Ronald Coase’s transaction cost theory, the paper analyzes how autonomous AI agents drastically reduce costs associated with information search, contract negotiation, and enforcement. By distinguishing between traditional AI systems and autonomous agents, this study demonstrates how Agentic AI functions as a new intellectual factor of production and outlines its transformative macroeconomic and microeconomic implications for global markets.
