Abstract:Critical thinking has become an essential component of modern education, particularly in the field of English language teaching and learning. In the contemporary world, students are expected not only to memorize vocabulary and grammatical rules but also to analyze information, evaluate different perspectives, solve problems, and express their ideas logically. English language education provides numerous opportunities for developing these abilities because language learning involves communication, interpretation, discussion, argumentation, and reflection. This article examines the importance of critical thinking in English language education and discusses effective strategies for developing critical thinking skills among English language learners.
