ABSTRACT Nervous tissue is one of the most specialized tissues of the human
body and plays a central role in receiving, processing, and transmitting information. It
consists mainly of neurons and neuroglial cells, which work together to maintain the
structural and functional integrity of the nervous system. This article examines the
histological structure of nervous tissue, including the morphological characteristics of
neurons, types of neuroglial cells, and their functional roles. Particular attention is paid
to the organization of nerve fibers, synapses, and the structural features of the central
and peripheral nervous systems. The article also discusses the regenerative capacity of
nervous tissue and the factors that influence nerve regeneration after injury.
Understanding the histological structure and regeneration mechanisms of nervous
tissue is important for studying neurological disorders and developing effective
approaches to nervous system repair.
